What It’s About: Skynet sends an even more advanced Terminator, the shape shifting, liquid metal T-1000 (Robert Patrick) back in time to 1995 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her son John (Edward Furlong), who will be the leader of the guerrillas that defeat Skynet.  The future John Connor sends himself an ally-a less advanced terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), reprogrammed to protect him.  Will it be enough?

Why Watch it Today?:  Terminator 2 gives a date for Judgement Day:  August 29th, 1997.  Sure, the date has passed, and this film is essentially a less downbeat but  astronomically budgeted, high gloss rehash of the original, but it’s still a fun ride, even if it did lead to even more uncalled for sequels.
