Why Watch it Today?:   Mr. Darcy is introduced to the Bennetts through his friend Mr. Bingley, who purchases a home in the area.  The Bennetts first meet Mr. Bingley (Crispin Bonham-Carter) on this date.   While a five-part mini-series might be out of our normal purview, this classic adaptation of Jane Austin’s novel is worth breaking the rules for.
