What It’s About: Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) are roommates.  Harold is the uptight, responsible, and repressed; Kumar is an extroverted slacker.  Both are major potheads, and their post-toking trip to White Castle will turn into an all night adventure.

Why Watch It Today?:  Today is 4/20, which is, as one moron excitedly told me, “the smoker’s independence day man.  It’s like the 4th of the July and Christmas rolled into one.”  Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is easily one of the best stoner comedies there is, with gags that range from drug humor to the surreal to poking fun at stereotypes, a great supporting cast (including a scene stealing turn by former Doogie Howser star Neil Patrick Harris as himself), and likable lead characters.
