What It’s About:  Batman’s (Christian Bale) war on crime becomes more desperate when the Joke (Heath Ledger) begins attacking the city.

Why Watch it Today?: Batman creator Bob Kane was born today in 1915.  The Dark Knight is arguably the best Batman film made to date, with a great cast, a storyline that draws elements from some of the best Batman comics of the last thirty years, and a crime movie feel, especially in the opening heist sequence that recalls films like The Taking of Pelham One Two Three.
