What It’s About: The Social Network is a heavily dramatized early history of the creation of Facebook; it’s a tale of friendship, trust, power, and revenge. The film is based on the book The Accidental Billionaires.

Why Watch it Today?: The original website that became today’s modern Facebook was launched on this date in 2004.
