What It’s About: G.I.s stationed in Germany make a bet that one of them can spend the night with a cabaret dancer (Juliet Prowse). When the G.I.s get transferred, Elvis takes over the bet, falls in love, and tries to call the whole thing off.

Why Watch it Today?: Elvis returned from the Army on this date in 1960. Even before he left Germany, he began filming scenes for this film, which heralded his return to the big screen after nearly two years away. The soundtrack was nominated for two Grammy awards.
