What It’s About:  During the Second World War, General Frank Savage (Gregory Peck) takes over a unit of B-17s that is failing apart under Colonel Ernie Davenport’s (Gary Merrill) leadership.  Will the men accept him? Will his methods work?  What toll will the campaign take on the men (and Savage himself)?
