What It’s About: Sherlock Holmes (Christopher Plummer) and Dr. Watson (James Mason) investigate the Jack the Ripper murders, and find a conspiracy at the root of them that goes all the way to the top!

Why Watch It Today?: Jack the Ripper murdered his first victim on this date in 1888.  Murder by Decree answers the question of how Holmes would solve what is probably the most famous unsolved serial killer mystery of all time.  Plummer and Mason make for a very interesting Holmes and Watson and they are supported by a game cast.  Bob Clark, probably best known for his A Christmas Story, draws on his earlier background in horror to deliver a fog bound London and a case with some thrills beyond the usual cerebral ones.
