Cast and Crew:  Roger Avary (Stories); Danny DeVito (Executive Producer); Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Uma Thurman, Christopher Walken, Amanda Plummer, Eric Stoltz, Ving Rhames, Phil LaMarr, Maria de Medeiros, Rosanna Arquette, Frank Whaley, Steve Buscemi, Joseph Pilato, Julia Sweeney, Harvey Keitel, Kathy Griffin

What It’s About: The lives of various criminals, organized and not-so-organized, intersect in comedic and violent fashion over the course of several days.

Why Watch it Today?: Writer/director Quentin Tarantino was born today in 1963.  Although 1992’s Reservoir Dogs first earned Tarantino critical attention, 1994’s Pulp Fiction was Tarantino’s breakout hit, a then-fresh mix of crime, pop culture references high and low, non-linear plotting and an eclectic soundtrack.  Waves of imitators followed, but Pulp Fiction is still  the gold standard.  Watch it with your favorite tasty beverage (perhaps a 5 dollar milkshake?) and a Big Kahuna burger (or maybe a Royale with Cheese?).

Other Choices: Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown
