Cast and Crew:  Robert Benton (Writer/Director); Elmer Bernstein (Score); Susan Sarandon, James Garner, Resse Witherspoon, Stockard Channing, Giancarlo Esposito, Liev Schrieber, M. Emmet Walsh, Clint Howard

What It’s About: Retired cop turned private detective Harry Ross (Paul Newman) gets more than he bargained for when he agrees to deliver blackmail money for his friend and landlord, actor Jack Ames (Gene Hackman).

Why Watch It Today?:  Today is Senior Citizen’s Day if you live in Ohio, and this month is Older Americans Month.  Twilight is a private detective movie for the AARP set, with a fabulous cast of older actors going through the paces on a fun, if not particularly innovative, private eye yarn, while the subject of aging is front and center.

Where to Get It:  iTunes, Netflix (rental), public libraries, or  Amazon
