What It’s About: If you asked my 7 year old self what it was about, there was a lady mouse and a crow with some yarn and an underground world beneath a bush and also some magic, plus a scary owl.
Why Watch it Today?: Today is World Day for Animals in Laboratories, which my adult self now understands had something to do with why those rats of NIMH were so smart.
Where to Get It: Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, and Netflix, or your local library.
Loved this movie as a kid and it still holds up because my daughter loves it now. I remember my eyes widening in surprise when one of the rats said “damn”. It was a scandal to my young ears to hear such a word in a cartoon! lol
